The magic of ink removal
Laser tattoo removal in Haarlem
The picosecond laser removes tattoos by emitting powerful laser light that splits the ink into tiny particles. The body can then naturally eliminate these small particles. Unlike some other removal methods, the laser targets the ink specifically without damaging the surrounding skin.
The Picosecond laser
Traditional lasers have been on the market for a while, but the picosecond laser represents a major breakthrough in tattoo removal technology.
Benefits of Picosecond laser tattoo removal:
-
Less painful treatments
-
Shorter recovery time (less swelling, blisters, and scab formation)
-
Faster recovery after the treatment
-
Less damage to the skin
-
Effective for all ink colors
-
Fewer treatments needed; the tattoo can be completely removed in just 6-10 sessions.
Because less heat and energy are used, the surrounding tissue remains undamaged and treatments can take place at shorter intervals. In addition, the picolaser method is effective for all color types.
Note: Results may vary per person.

How laser removal works
When removing tattoos, a picosecond laser is used to shatter the ink particles. In a fraction of a second, the laser emits powerful pulses of light. These pulses are absorbed by the ink in the skin, causing the ink to break down into small particles. The body then naturally eliminates these tiny particles via the immune system.
Progress of the treatment
The tattoo gradually becomes lighter with the number of treatments. Some ink particles will disappear faster than others. Immediately after the treatment, the tattoo may temporarily darken and scabbing may occur. Although this does not always happen, it is important to provide proper aftercare following the laser treatment. Are you interested in more information or a consultation about removing your tattoo?
